CHARLES LEEK Obituary


Charles Martin Leek, 81, of Orange City, FL passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the Hospice of Volusia /Flagler Care Center in Orange City. Born in Flushing, NY he moved to the area in 1986 from Long Island, NY. Mr. Leek was a World War II Army veteran and a retired Head Machinist. He was also a Dock Master in Northport, Long Island. He is survived by his wife, Lillian; sons, Charles Leek of Orange City, Richard Leek of DeBary and Michael Leek of Little River, SC; brother, Walter Leek of Ocala, FL; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 25, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the Lankford Funeral Home in DeLand with Father Dave Gillis officiating. Viewing will be on Sunday from 2-4 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be on Monday at 1:30 P.M. at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.

Dear Dad,
You were always an inspiration to me in many ways. Although I will miss you dearly, I am grateful that your suffering has ended. I will cherish our memories together sailing and camping always.
