David Ragusa Obituary

David E. Ragusa, 58, of DeBary, a loving son, father and grandfather, passed away on April 2 after a brief illness. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, David moved here from Bradford, MA in 2012. He served his country in the US Navy, retiring after 24 years of service in active duty and the Fleet Reserve and was activated out of the reserve to go to the Persian Gulf for Desert Storm. David also worked in technical support for Avid Technology for the past 21 years. He was a member of the VFW Post #2104 in North Andover, MA as well as the American Legion. David was preceded in death by his father, Eugene V. Ragusa. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughters, Maria Burke of Westminster, CO and Sandy Ragusa of Somersworth, NH, his son, Michael V. Ragusa of Debary, his mother, Mary Ragusa of DeBary, his sister, Judy (Paul) Feeley of Bridgewater, MA, brother Frank (Jeannette) Ragusa of Eustis, FL and his four beloved grandchildren, Emilee, Sammy, George and Colt. David's family will receive friends from 10-11:00 am on Thursday, April 7 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 26 Dogwood Trail, DeBary with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. He will be laid to rest with full military honors on Friday, April 8 at 12:30 pm at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials be made to Wounded Warrior Foundation. You are invited to share your memories with the family at www.lankfordfuneralhome.com.

I am so sorry about David's death. I have been trying to send him emails and he never responded, now I know why! I am so sorry for the families loss. I had once dated him and we use to have annual reunions until he moved to Florida. I will always remember him and I am extremely saddened at this time.
