I remember having sleepovers at the a frame with Gail, Emery and my dad were born on the same day, same year and used to tease each other who was the oldest. The newest memories were his summers spent in NH, he would come to the restaurant twice daily as well as seeing him at the campground. We went to visit him in his Fl home as well. He was a very special man and very loved by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be very missed, as well as his great sense of humor. RIP Emery Love you

Emery was a great member of my “ step” family. My dad died in 1966 and a year later my widow mother met and married a widowed father... Clifton Smith, Emery’s brother. Our families melded so well....almost unbelievably!
We traveled to Sunapee frequently for great weekend visits with the loving,
funny(sometimes insanely so) Smith clan of which Uncle Emery was a major player. I spent two summers working for Uncle Emery’s building construction business. He taught me lot of very usable skills of the building trades for sure but also how to enjoy doing them.
Emery was honest, smart, talented,funny...an all around GREAT MAN!
I loved him.

I have many fond memories of my Uncle Emery. ❤
He was always the person who set the tone in the room to laughter. He had a special way about him. I loved his twinkling eyes, his generous, and humble spirit, but my favorite was his sense of humor...
Growing up with his daughter Gail, (He loved her so much!) (Gaily) as he called her, placed me in close proximity to my Uncle Emery on a regular basis!
One of my favorite memories was the three of us, driving to Florida, during the 1970’s has shortage. Long gas lines, although we were equipped with an extra fuel tank. He told me often “we are almost Zare” and then we would pass a Zare’s store and he would remind me he kept his word!
I will miss him very much.
I love you Uncle Emery!
Thank you for being a wonderful uncle to me. Robin

Emery Smith was a man of great love and integrity. I am blessed to have been able to call him my grandfather. He has had a tremendous impact on my life and given myself and many other people memories to cherish for a lifetime.
