Ernest Cornelius Obituary

Ernest (Ernie) Cornelius, 92 of Ormond Beach, Fl passed away on Sat. May 20, 2017. He was born September 20, 1924 in Williamsburg, Ky. After he received his degree from Cumberland College in Williamsburg, Ernie began his railroad career in 1946 and retired in 1983. At the time of his retirement, Ernie was manager of Customer Service for the Southeast Region with the Burlington Northern Railway in Atlanta, Ga. He is survived by his daughter Delores Braley and husband Terry, and his son, Gary Cornelius, a granddaughter and two great-grandchildren. Ernie was preceded in death by his wife 57 years, Wanda. Funeral Services will be celebrated on Thursday, May 25th at 7:00 pm at Lohman Funeral Home; 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach. The family will begin receiving friends at 5:00 p.m. Additional services and entombment will be held in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Arrangements are under the care of Lohman Funeral Home rmond.
