GAIL SCIFO Obituary

Gail P. Scifo, 75, of Palm Coast, FL passed away September 22, 2011 at Flagler Hospital St. Augustine, FL. A Memorial Service will be held on September 28, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church on the Rock, 2200 N. State Street, Bunnell, FL. All Arrangements are under the direct supervision of the Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast, 220 Palm Coast Pkwy SW; Palm Coast FL. Gail was born in Brooklyn NY and attended Hempstead High School, Hempstead NY. She met the love of her life Patrick Scifo and together raised a family of seven children. She was a devoted mother and wife. Gail and Patrick moved from New York thirty years ago to Palm Coast, FL. Here they became active members of Church on the Rock. Gail became a prayer warrior and donated her time to the Care House Food Pantry at her church. She loved the Lord and lived to serve. Gail was a crafty person, spending her time sewing and crocheting. For her many family and friends she has created everlasting tokens of her affection, either a little doll or a cross. Gail also had an incredible sense of humor. She will be sorely missed by all that knew her. Gail was preceded in death by her son, Wayne Krueger; brother, John; sisters, Carol and Kathleen. She was joined in death by her beloved husband and life partner of forty years Patrick Scifo on September 24, 2011, She is survived by daughters, Patricia Cardona (Ruben) of Inverness, FL, Cynthia Krueger of Inverness, FL, Michelle McCrea (Chris) of Michigan, Donna Montgomery (Mick) of Clearwater, FL, Barbara A. Sherry of New York; brothers, Charles A. Lewis (Florence Day) of New York, Robert Lewis (Judy) of New York, Tim Lewis (Karen) of New York; sisters, Dianne Hayes (George) of Palm Coast, Joan DeFrancisco (Jerry) of Palm Coast. Gail was also the loving grandmother to ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her beloved "Kitty". Donations in Gails's name may be made to Haven Hospice Development, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606. Condolences may be shared with the family online at www.lohmanfuneralhomes.com

Thank you all for the words of encouragement. They mean a lot to us....I can't believe it's been just about 1 year since they went home to be with Jesus but I know they are watching over us....

Gail was an angel from Heaven in my time of need. She gently helped me through my trail with the love of God in her heart. She was truely a blessing and I will never forget her. Shes with our Lord watching over us right now. Thank God for people like her.
