Jeraldine LaVallee Obituary

Jeraldine "Jerry" J. (Jaworski) LaVallee, 68, Ormond Beach, passed away on June 22, 2008. Jerry was born February 5, 1940, in Woonsocket, R.I., and lived in the Worcester, Mass., area for many years before moving to Florida in 1993. She was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Ronald LaVallee. She is survived by her sister, Helen (Jaworkski) Gogel, Palatka, Fla.; daughter, Debra (Parent) Denison, Bunnell; son, Steven Parent, Mendon, Mass.; stepson, Randy LaVallee, Tampa; stepdaugh-ter, Marsha (LaVallee) Podsiadlo, Ormond Beach; and seven grandchildren, Sean, Sarah, Jacob, Lauren, Robbie, Kirsten and Allison. Jerry drove school bus for Wegal Bus in Shrewsbury, Mass., and the Grafton Council on Aging in Grafton, Mass., for many years before moving to Florida, where she drove school bus for Flagler County for ten years before retiring. She enjoyed NASCAR racing, RV'ing, was a member of the Moose Lodge #1019, Ormond Beach, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler Counties.

I think of the family in this time of sadness. I was one of the nurses who took care of Jerry. I had a chance to get to know her and the family. You are all such good people. You are in my heart and prayers in this time of sorrow. I wish you all well.
