Johannes F. Van Kampen

Johannes F. Van Kampen, 77, of Farmsworth Dr., Palm Coast, a retired financial executive, died May 29, 2009 in Hospice. Born in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Mr. Van Kampen came to the United States in 1956, and in 1995, moved to this area from Norwalk, Connecticut. Mr. Van Kampen, had earned a BS degree from the University of Bridgeport Connecticut, and was one of the founders and treasurer of the Classic Artists Guild of Fairfield County, Connecticut, and was a member of the Rowayton Arts Center, CT. Survivors include his wife, Catherine; daughters, Carla Van Kampen, Rome, Italy, and Karen Gatto, East Meadow, NY; one granddaughter; and two step-daughters. He enjoyed travel, history, ballroom dancing, portrait painting, opera, classical music and gourmet cooking. A memorial will be held at a future date.
