John Nussbaumer Obituary

NEW SMYRNA BEACH - John Joseph Nussbaumer, 90, of Pioneer Trail, who retired after 35 years as a truck driver for Atlantic Refining Co., Philadelphia, died Thursday at Bert Fish Medical Center.

Mr. Nussbaumer, an Army veteran of World War II, was born in Philadelphia and moved to this area in 2002 from Cinnaminson, N.J. He was president of the Quail Hollow Homeowners Association, and member of the American Legion, Burlington County, New Jersey. He was also secretary and union leader of the Atlantic Independent Union, Philadelphia.

Survivors include a son, John Jr., Deltona; a daughter, Carole Graham, Cinnaminson; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and friend, Louise Drew, New Smyrna Beach, who provided for his care. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Lane, Port Orange, FL 32129, or to the American Cancer Society, 1620 S. Clyde Morris Blvd., Suite 300, Daytona Beach, FL 32119. Dudley, New Smyrna Beach, is in charge.
