Vice Admiral John "Jack" Shanahan, Jr., February 3, 1923 - September 10, 2013, will be interred with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery on Thursday, April 24, 2014, at l:00 p.m. The services will begin in the Old Post Chapel at Ft. Myer. Jack Shanahan enlisted in the Navy at the age of 18 on November 2, 1941, and retired on July l, 1977. During his 36-year career, Jack served in World War II, the Korean War and two tours, in-country, in Viet Nam. He is survived by
