KARYN DIANNE COUGHENOUR

A Celebration of Life for Karyn Dianne Coughenour, 37, who passed away unexpectedly from an asthma attack on June 23, 2013, in Spruce Pine, North Carolina, will be held on Friday, August 2, 2013, 6:00 P.M. at Central Baptist Church, 142 Fairview Avenue, Daytona Beach, with a reception immediately following in Adams Hall. The Reverend Sonny Gallman will officiate. Karyn was born April 28, 1976 in Daytona Beach. She was a 1994 graduate of Mainland High School and attended Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, NC. She was employed as Inventory Manager for Alpine Ski Center, Banner Elk, for 10 years. Karyn was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Crossnore, NC, and was a member of the choir. She was a devoted mother to her two daughters and active in Avery County youth activities as Avery Youth Cheerleader Coach and as a Little League parent. Her beautiful, contagious smile and upbeat personality made her loved by all in the community she called home for 19 years. She will not be forgotten by those she leaves behind including: her daughters, Alissa and Madeline Blum, Newland, NC; her parents, Ralph and Kathy Coughenour, Daytona Beach; her fiancé, Kevin McClellan, Newland; future step-sons, Jordan and Josh "Shua" McClellan, Newland; her brother, Jeff Coughenour, Daytona Beach; grandmother, Geraldine Friedrich, Ormond Beach; Niece, Cassidy Coughenour, Gordonsville, Virginia.
