MARION DAHL Obituary

Marion R. Dahl, 85, passed away at home May 2, 2012. Marion was born in Manitowoc, Wisconsin to George Wilfer and Barbara (Drewek) Wilfur and moved to Florida in the 1950's. She retired from Halifax Medical Center where she worked as an RN and was very proud of the fact she was a 7 gallon blood donor. Her interests included working in the yard, reading and bird watching. Marion also loved spending time with her beloved pets over the years - Surf Dog, J.D., Pluto, and Kiki Kitty. Marion is survived by sons: John, South Daytona, Alan, Daytona Beach; daughter, Barbara James, (Dan Carlin), Ormond Beach; brother, George Wilfer, Fresno, CA; and grandson, Nathan Dahl, Atlanta, GA. She was predeceased by son Paul and daughter Karen. Memorial Service to be held Sat., May 5, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Hospice Chapel, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Halifax Habitat for Humanity, 1030 W. International Speedway Blvd., Second Floor, Daytona Beach, FL 32114.

John, Alan and Barbara - so sorry for your loss. I lived next door to you for 10 years - your mom was the nicest person. We were always hanging out at your house, skateboarding on your driveway but she never had a harsh word for us. I remember in the 70's she drove this cool camaro - as teenagers we were all envious! My thoughts and prayers are with you.

i am truly very sorry i wasnt there. iwill never forgive myself. i will also never ever forget all ms. dahl taught me. She was instrumental in my life. She was the one who taught me" its not nice to ask a woman how old she is" The memories i have made with her will forever be cherished.
