We have heard many times from you, our many friends, that you could not find the words to comfort our grief. Yet, you did find the words and you did provide the comfort this family has needed.
It is our turn now to express our gratitude to you all. Once again words now seem to fail us, but thank you. Your outpouring of love and support has moved us all and helped sustain us. We thank you all so very much. The McKechnie Family

Boy- so many emotions- so many questions! Just glad I was able to know ya during your short stint- I can only imagine your admiration for my sons and the times would have shared with you! We move on though- until we meet again!

Robert, Debbie and Steven
It has been many years since I have seen you all. Growing up right across the street from you I was able to enjoy seeing "Mikey" and "Stevie" grow up. When my brother called me with the news my I could feel my heart sink. The news of Mike's passing touched me like a long lost brother. Evan and I talk about you and the boys often. We both have incredibly fond memories of our childhood because of your family. I cannot imagine the feelings of loss that you all have. I wish all of your family peace in this time.

I hadn't seen Mike in years, and just found him on Facebook about 3 days before. Really sad to hear about it when it happened, and especially the circumstances. My thoughts are with the friends and family. I hope they can all realize that there's a strong community around them that can be a great help in times of need. That's the great thing about having grown up in DeLand. All our best to you all...

Rob, Deb, Steve and the Rentz Family, please know that my heart and soul goes out to you all during this tragic time in your lives. This hits pretty close to me as you guys have been like my family and I love you as such. Mike was such a polite kid that always gave me a hug if he saw me and I pretty much watched the boys grow up into men...though I still think of him, Troy and Steve as just being a little older than DJ. Know that he is with a lot of wonderful Angels that will welcome him with open arms...he can see his Grampa Rentz and my Mom...and they all will be waiting for us to join them when the time is right for us.
