I met Penny through AARP tax aide the first year she moved to Fl. We worked together and had many conversations about her family, travels and life in general. She is a very special person and both she and Lin will be greatly missed. So sorry for your loss.

I met Penny at Western Michigan University many years ago. Penny was my big sister in AZA sorority and she was a wonderful big sis. She was always there for advice and encouragement. I remember going to Grand Rapids before cell phones,
to visit her. She was at the Ionia free fair. Her wonderful parents drove me all the way there and helped me find her. It was a memorable day. I eventually moved to Grand Rapids to work, and in between apartments she let me stay with her for a few weeks. She was always generous and helpful. She got me into ceramics. Although Penny moved and eventually ended up in Florida, we always maintained our friendship. I am grateful for the memories we had together. I will miss her Christmas letters and the opportunity to see her again. My heart goes out to her daughter and family.

We first met Penny when we decided to volunteer for the AARP tax aide program in 2011. She was a valuable asset to the program and helped us both tremendously. Our friendship grew over the years and we enjoyed many social events with Penny and Lin. They will be greatly missed, we are deeply sorry for your loss.

I still sit back a chuckle about brining the cat tower up the stairs to the apartment, then going to Golden Corral for dinner and the best part of corse the chocolate fountain!!!! Or how about the many boxes packed and unpacked, the many flights of stairs climbed together! Now your work is done, it´s time for you to relax and enjoy! I certainly hope you are painting, crafting, and dancing your heart out! You will be forever missed

I miss having Penny across the street. I loved her laugh and hitching a ride on her golf cart to take Lin breakfast at the gate. She was always a grateful receiver it I had an extra donut and graciously gave me a "Yes" to eating as many oranges as I wanted from their tree. I could ask her any question about EL and know with full confidence, Penny would have the answer. She was a great neighbor and friend. I have been missing her and will continue to do so. Hugs and Blessings to her daughter, Kim. I can only imagine her tough journey ahead.
