Ralph Andress Obituary

Ralph W. Andress, age 79, of Edgewater, Fl., died Dec. 13, 2016 in New Smyrna Beach, Fl., surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Metamora, Mich. He was preceded in death by his lovely wife Diane Buchinger-Andress. They were married 49 years. He and his wife were the owners and operators of Southern Sweets candy store in Edgewater and New Smyrna, Fl. They also owned the Silver Lake country market in Perry, New York. Ralph was a loving husband and father that enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was friendly and outgoing with everyone he met, his purpose in life was to help as many people as he could. He is survived by his children Doug and Cheryl Andress. His grandchildren Josh and Jessica Andress Heather Hall and Tara Hives. Great grandchildren Evyn, Mikah, Jack, Emily and Amelia. Siblings Muriel Ostrom, Terry (Connie) Meier, Jerry (Thelma) Meier, Bonnie (Howard) Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Dawn and stepfather Arthur, sisters Ruth Shaver and Rosemary Meier and brothers in law Glenn Ostrom, Guy Buchinger Jr., Robert Shaver. He is survived also by many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. A memorial service will be held April 8th at 4pm at 431 N. Myrtle Ave., New Smyrna Beach, Fl., Minerva Center.
