Funeral Services for Mr. Reginald P. Benjamin, 60, New Smyrna Bch, who passed January 21, 2019, will be 11 AM, Friday, February 1, 2019, at Allen Chapel AME Church, with Rev. Jeffrey Dove, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Sea Pines Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be from 5-7 PM, today (Thurs, Jan 31) at Gainous-Wynn Funeral Home and from 9:30 AM until service time at the church on Friday. Mr. Benjamin was born in Gainesville, FL on December 16, 1958. He graduated from New Smyrna Bch Sr. High School in June 1977. He joined the US Army and served 15 years. He also drove trucks and was and employed with Walmart. He was a faithful member at Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church, where he sang in choir. He loved singing and he loved to cook. He was preceded in death by his loving parents: Willie Benjamin, Sr. and Alma L. Benjamin; a sister: Martha Ann Benjamin Hope. He is survived by, his children: Daniela Murillo, Nico Benjamin, Shenett Sanita, and Linus Benjamin; two brothers: Willie Benjamin, Jr. and Leroy Benjamin (Juanita); a sister, Carrie Lee Poole (Victor); nine grandchildren; nephews, nieces, great nieces and nephews; a special loving aunt: Sarah Harden; 3 loving stepdaughters; loving cousins and friends.
