Richard Holtz Obituary

Richard Holtz
02/10/2019
Richard Holtz died on February 10th, 2019 at the age of 73. The funeral will be at 11:00 am Wednesday at Temple Beth-El, 579 N. Nova Road in Ormond Beach. Richard had non-step energy and worked incredibly hard at everything he thought was worthwhile. He started his own company InfiniSys, which is a nationally recognized leader in multi-family housing technology, he was a volunteer firefighter and paramedic for 25 years, he served as President of Temple Beth-El, on the Board of the Union for Reform Judaism, President of Mount Sinai Cemetery, and as an advisor to the Volusia County School Board, and much more over the course of his life. With all of his commitments, he always had time for everyone. Richard was a dog-person and had several throughout his life including Sparky, Sunshine, Molly, and now Leah, and he loved daughter Jennifer's dog Gabi. When he had free-time, he could be found boating, and was proud to have recently earned a Captain's License from the U.S. Coast Guard. Most important to him were his family—he was a loving husband, dad and grandpa. He is survived by wife Rochelle, son Jason (Jodi), daughter Jennifer, grandson Asher, and brother Jonathan. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Richard's memory to Temple Beth-El (www.tbeob.com) or the Union for Reform Judaism (www.urj.org).
