Doreen Mae Hayes, 85 of Kill Devil Hills passed away at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville on Sept. 14. She was preceded in death by her husband, LJ Hayes and son Roy Hayes.
She is survived by her daughter Deborah Hayes, stepdaughter Juanita Eaton and grandchildren Corey Hayes, Michelle Kelly, Laure Groht and Richard Eaton.
Doreen grew up in Gretna, Manitoba. She married a United States Airman in 1953 and traveled for 18 years before settling in North Carolina in 1971.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday 2:00pm September 21st at Raleigh Memorial park in Raleigh, NC.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday 2:00pm September 27th at Spring Arbor in Kill Devil Hills, NC.
