RICHARD COREY McINNIS

Richard Corey McInnis, 41, went on to be with the Lord, February 8th, 2012 in Tampa, Florida; where he resided all of his life. He attended & played football at H.B. Plant High School. He was an Eagle Scout and in the Order Of The Arrow. He honorably served for three years in the U.S. Army as an Airborne Ranger, and was a veteran of the First Gulf War and the Panama Jungle Campaign. After leaving the Armed Forces, Corey was graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University, earning high academic honors and membership on the National Dean's List and was selected as a special envoy for the NATO Student Symposium. Corey was a life long devoted Christian, and had a heart for African mission work. He is survived by his daughter, Blakeley (McInnis) Coull; parents, Richard and Vickie McInnis; sister, Allison McInnis-Gimbert; brother, Nolan McInnis; and two nephews: Tyler and Hunter Gimbert; he is also survived by his beloved grandfather, Rudy Zadra; aunt Barbara McInnis-Vu; and numerous beloved aunts, uncles & cousins. He was also blessed to have such close friends. A service will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, at Faith Outreach Center. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. There will also be a service at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, at First Baptist of DeLeon Springs. Refreshments will be given thirty minutes prior to service with Reverend George Walters and Reverend Christopher Salina officiating. Interment immediately following service.
