RONALD KOWALSKI Obituary

Ronald E. Kowalski, 71, of South Daytona, formerly of Salem, MA, passed from this life on April 12, 2012, with his wife of 28 years, Blumie, by his side. He was born in Salem, Massachusetts, on November 29, 1940, son of the late Edmund M. and Harriet (Neary) Kowalski. Ron received degrees from Georgetown University, the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and Suffolk Law School. During the summer of 1963, he was employed by the Kennedy Administration in the Office of Emergency Planning. He was an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Boston State College for seventeen years, ran for the US Congress in the Democratic primaries in 1972 and 1974. After moving to Florida in 1981, he and his wife practiced law together in Daytona Beach. He was a member of the Massachusetts and Florida Bars, and was the author of 3 books. Ron was a member of the Knights of Columbus both in Massachusetts and Florida and was a 4th Degree Knight. He was a member of the Polish National Alliance. Ronald Kowalski is survived by his wife and six children, Ronald II, Edmund II, Kristin, Blumie Lee, Stephen II and Samuela; five granddaughters; and four grandsons. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on June 2, 2012 at 11 am at the Church of The Epiphany, 201 Lafayette Rd., Port Orange, FL. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family requests charitable donations be made to the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter, 119 Griffin Rd., Elmhurst Township, PA, 18444. Kristin and family,

I am so sorry for your loss. Your father was such a nice loving person and I will always remember seeing him in church at Lourdes. He would always have an interesting story or tid bit to share and always made me laugh and smile :-)
