Thomas Bresnahan Obituary

Thomas H. Bresnahan, Jr.

Edgewater - Thomas H. Bresnahan, Jr., 92, passed away on December 17, 2020 in Edgewater, after a short illness. He was born on November 30, 1928 in Rochester, NY to Thomas H. Bresnahan, Sr. and Winifred Peg Bresnahan. He grew up in Penfield, NY, where he met his lifelong love and wife of 66 years, Erika Bresnahan, who predeceased him in 2015. Tom worked for the American Can Company in Rochester and later became a union carpenter, building contractor and pilot. Tom loved his family, flying, traveling, camping, swimming, the beach and air shows. Tom was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in New Smyrna Beach, and many aviation organizations, including the Silver Wings Fraternity, the EAA and FASACA, and was also a long time volunteer at Sun and Fun air shows in Lakeland. As a member of the Florida Fly Wheelers Club, he could appreciate a good "hit and miss engine". Tom is survived by his daughters, Colleen O'Donnell and Barbara (Bob) Lovelace; grandson, Adam Wright; granddaughter, Tracey Bresnahan Schreifels and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his beloved son, Doug and his sister, Sally Wagner. Tom "flew with the best". No services are planned at this time. Cremation will be by Dudley Crematory, New Smyrna Beach.
