Mr. Albritton was the first born of four children to Deacon Wesley Albritton, Sr. and Pearl Sarvis Albritton, on January 4, 1931, in Stuart, Martin County, Florida. His earthly spirit returned to the bosom of GOD on Saturday, October 3, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Alice. He graduated from Stuart Training School (STS) in 1948 and shortly thereafter enlisted and served three years in the U.S. Army. He moved to Daytona Beach in 1953 to further his education at Bethune Cookman College (BCC). He graduated in 1958 earning a B.S. degree in physical education. He married Louise Harley on September 9, 1954 and they recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. He worked for several years at Halifax Hospital, but his love for sports led him to be employed by the City of Ormond Beach Parks and Recreation Center. There he served as the Coordinator of the Division Street Center and in September of 1991, he retired after 20 years of service. After retirement, he began his own business of lawn services for many of the homes located in Ormond and Daytona Beach. Wesley continued to support veteran services through his long time involvement in the AMVETS Post 100 and more recently the Port Orange AMVETS Post 911. He was recognized by the AMVETS Post for his efforts and for the offices he held at the local and state levels. He was also a faithful member and supporter of the BCC Alumni Chapter and in 1997 he was recognized as a Lifetime Member. Wesley received the MLK Achievement Award from the Ormond Beach NAACP in January 1988. He was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Institutional Church. A legacy of love has been left to his beloved wife, Louise; his son, Anthony of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Clifton (Shirley) Albritton, Stone Mountain, GA; sister, Grace Albritton, Alexandria, VA and brother-in-law, John W. Curry, Stuart, FL. He had one precious granddaughter, Arianna Jenay, Peoria, IL; nephews, Wesley and CJ Albritton, and Elston Powell; nieces, Davida and Candice Albritton and Kim (Roy) Peavy and Barbara Delancy. He had many other loving great nephews and nieces whom he loved dearly, also a special cousin, Roseita Dickerson of Stuart, FL and devoted lifelong friends and neighbors.

To the Albritton family,
Mr. Albritton touched the lives of many children in Ormond Beach Fl. I am one of those children he helped to guide in the right path of life. Thorugh playing fair and treating each other with respect he taught us life lessons that still remain. I send my deepest sympathy and shall keep you in my prayers.
