WILLARD DeCLUE Obituary

Willard L."Bill" DeClue, Jr., 83, of Edgewater, a processing engineer for Raytheon Corporation in Waltham & Burlington, Massachu-setts for 20 years before his retirement, died Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Sandalwood Nursing Center, Daytona Beach. Mr. DeClue, an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, was born in Highland Park, Michigan and moved Cape Canaveral in 1972 from Ipswich, Massachusetts before moving to Edgewater in 1991. He received a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Boston College and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Smyrna Beach. He was an avid tennis player and fan. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Ruth M.; four sons, Frank E. of Merritt Island; Thomas J. (Sonny) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Daniel R. (Rosalee) of Port St. John and Joel M. (Debbie) of Ashburn, Virginia; three daughters, Janis (Bill) Ward of Port Orange; Rosemary (Bruce) Baker of Merritt Island and Jean Marie DeClue, of Cape Canaveral; one brother, Joseph (Margie) of Anaheim, California; nine grandchildren and two great grandsons. He was preceded in death by two sons, Willard L., III and Gary; one daughter, Sarah and one brother, Robert. He was always a kind and gentle man that cared for his family greatly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11AM Monday, March 15, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Smyrna Beach. Cremation will be by Dudley Crematory, New Smyrna Beach. Visitation will be from 5PM until 8PM Sunday, March 14, 2010 with a Wake service at 7:30PM at the Dudley Edgewater Chapel, 433 N. Ridgewood Ave., Edgewater. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic School, 1003 Turnbull Street, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168.

Dear Ruth and kids, I am so sorry to hear about Bill. It was always so much fun spending time with you guys as we were growing up and those memories will always be close. I just wish Iwas able to be with you now, but know you all are in my dearest thoughts and prayers. Losses are never easy and the love of those closest to us are such a comfort. Dear Aunt Ruth and Family,
It has been our pleasure to associate with Uncle Bill these past few years. Our thought and prayers are with each of you at this most difficult time. May the Lord hold each of your hearts in the palm of His hand and provide you the Peace that surpath understanding. We are saddened by Uncle Bill's passing but happy in knowledge of his relationship with the Lord and his permanent home in Paradise with the Lord.
