Willie McGill Obituary

Funeral Services for Mr. Willie McGill, 84, will be held 11am Saturday, February 28, 2009 at the Greater Union First Baptist Church, 240 South Clara Avenue, DeLand, Reverend Troy Bradley, Sr., pastor and Reverend Walter Hendrix, officiating. Visitation Hours will be held today (Friday) from 4pm to 7pm at Arthur Mack Funeral Home, Inc. and Saturday from 10am until service time at the church. Burial will follow the service at Union Cemetery, DeLand. Mr. McGill was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Alzora Belle Maddox (January 9, 2005). He leaves to cherish his memories: his children: Betty Cooper (Dencile); Johnny McArthur, Jr.; Larry McGill (Dora), Alice Jenkins (Charlie), Brenda Smokes (Leroy), Willie C. McGill (Crevell); Gregory McGill (Vicki), Ronnie McGill (Barbara), Janye McGill Wyche (Ricky) and Steve McGill (Devry); sisters: Minnie Johnson (Joe), Miami, FL; Maggie Williams, Philadelphia, PA; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; special niece: Janie Thornton (Johnny), Miami, FL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other sorrowing relatives and friends. Condolences may be sent to the family at [email protected]. Arrangements entrusted to the care of the Cusack Family at Arthur Mack Funeral Home, Inc.
