Ada Lee Underhill, age 97 of Springfield Missouri passed away peacefully on December 11,2018 with her children by her side. Funeral Services will be held on December 15th at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Elder Ron Sloan of the Community of Christ Church will be officiating. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to services. Internment will follow at Eastlawn Cemetery.

On May 4, 1939 Ada married the love her life, John Underhill and together they raised four children. As an active member of the Community of Christ church, she enjoyed singing with her church quartet which included her husband and his two sisters. She was also well known for her amazing pies. She was a die-hard St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved spending time with her family.

Ada is survived by her children: Larry Underhill and fiance' D.J., Gay Kaufman and husband John, and Dennis Underhill and wife Vicki, seven grandchildren, Christina Detwiler, Angela Nadeau, Josh Underhill, Chenena Robertson, and Lindsey Conley along with their families.

Ada is preceeded in death by her father John Poynor, husband, John Underhill, daughters Karol Wollenberg, and Barbara Underhill, son-in-law Gary Wollenberg, grandson Curtis Underhill, Sisters Bea Inmon and Delpha Mae Poynor and brothers, Rick and James Poynor. The family wishes to thank the Maples Health and Rehabilitation for the excellent and loving care they provided our mother the last five years of her life.
