Bessie grew up down the road from my Grandparents Ed and Lydia Thiebaud and their children including my Mother Mildred Thiebaud Sutherland. Mom and Bessie were lifetime friends and Bessie would stay with Mom when coming to Lamar. She taught me in 4th grade when we moved to Missouri in 1944 from the New York area. She had 30 children to teach dairy at Victory School which is East of the Lisher home place. We kept in contact throughout her life and I really learned a lot from her as my first teacher in Missouri. We stayed in contact for most of her life. She was a wonderful lady!

Bee was my country school teacher at Victory School in 1944. I was in the 4th grade. She was a good friend of my Mother Mildred Thiebaud Sutherland. We stayed in touch for many years and she always called my mother and stayed with her if coming to Lamar. With the Virus I am sorry to have missed her passing. She was a GREAT teacher and I will miss her.
