Bob Moore Obituary

Bob Moore

Bob Moore, age 84, of Nixa passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014. He was born December 2, 1929, the son of Leslie and Dora (McConnell) Moore. He served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Bob worked at Martin Chrysler, Herman Brownlow, Owen's Motor Service, and was a Nixa School Bus Supervisor. He and his son Mark started the Parkmor Heights development. He served as a Deacon for the Nixa Church of Christ for 42 years. On June 6, 1958 he was united in marriage to Nancy Owens. Bob's past times included bowling, golf, and playing rook. He enjoyed time with his grandchildren and the many travels he and Nancy were privileged to take, especially those with family and Rex and Nadine Farthing.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents; a brother Roland; son Mark; daughter-in-law Cindy; and sister-in-law Ruth.

Bob is survived by his wife Nancy; daughter Connie Harp; grandchildren Kyle, Luke, and Alex Moore, Amanda (Ethan) Fenley, Alesia (Andrew) Carter, Aaron Harp and Justin Thorn; brothers Paul (Judy) Moore, Jim (Mary) Moore, Wilbern Moore; sister-in-law Rena Moore; a host of friends and family.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, June 14, 2014, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 14, 2014, in the funeral home. A graveside service will follow at McConnell Cemetery, Nixa.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Hospice Compassus, 1465 E. Primrose, Springfield, Missouri 65804, or The American Heart Association, 2448 E. Madrid Springfield, MO 65804.
