Charles Stufflebam Obituary

Charles Jackson Stufflebam, 83, Lewisville, Texas, passed away on August 16, 2008, in Lewisville, Texas. He was born on September 20, 1924, in Springfield, Mo. Jack graduated from Bolivar High School in 1942. He served in the US Army from 1942, until he was honorably discharged in 1945. He worked as a journalist, salesman, managing editor for two newspapers and advertising executive. On December 18, 1971, Jack was united in marriage to Margery in Monett, Mo. Jack was an avid reader, excellent bridge player and he loved politics. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Clessa Stufflebam, and sister Francis Ellen Dotson. Jack is survived by his wife; his children, Doug and Patty Stufflebam, Springfield, Mo., Dr. Brad and Jane Stufflebam, Centralia, Ill., Dr. Brian and Dee Stufflebam, St. Charles, Mo., Ralph and Maddie Stufflebam, Shoreline, Wash., Annette and Joel Vandendriessche, Brookfield, Wis.; step-children, Gary and Sheryl Blankenship, Republic, Mo., Dyan Nickell, Lewisville, Texas; 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; brother Dr. Bob and Mary Stufflebam; and cousins, Dixie Talbott, Elanor Shuluze of Springfield, Mo. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., October 4, 2008, in First and Calvary Presbyterian Church, Springfield, Mo. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Heart To Heart Hospice, 1500 Waters Ridge, Suite 100, Lewisville, TX 75057. Condolences may be sent to [email protected].
