Dora McNutt Obituary

Dora Lee McNutt, 85, Springfield, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2008, in Doctor's Hospital, Springfield. She was born August 23, 1922, in Springfield, Mo., to Nelson P. and Edna E. (Saunders) Hansen. She lived in Kingsville, Texas from 1953 to 2002, where she worked at C.R. Anthony Company for over 30 years as a sales clerk and department manager in retail clothing. She made her home in the Republic and Springfield, Mo., area the last few years and was a resident of Joy Assisted Living, Springfield. Mrs. McNutt was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Wilson McNutt; her parents; sisters, Dorothy Hawley, Mary Jane Blades, Ellen Apple and Irene Manning. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Gardiner and son-in-law, Master Sergeant Jack D. Gardiner, Wheatland, Calif.; a sister, Grace Brown, Springfield, Mo.; a brother, Nelson "Pete" Hansen, Cape Fair; and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2008, in Meadors Funeral Home, Republic. She will be laid to rest beside her late husband in Evergreen Cemetery, Republic.
