Edwards, Edna E.

Penfield: Passed away November 26, 2011 at age 97. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward G. and Alma Engelbrecht of Tell City, IN and her husband, Adolph M. Edwards, Jr. She is survived by her son, Adolph M. Edwards, III and daughter-in-law, Judith W. Edwards of Penfield; grandchildren, Robert A. Edwards of Irvine, CA and Mary E. Gross of Olney, MD as well as six great-grandchildren.

She grew up in Tell City, attended Indiana University for two years. She was married in 1934. Her husband entered government service and they resided in Arlington, VA and on Guam. They later resided in Evanston, IL, New Orleans, LA and in retirement, Arlington, VA and Penfield. She was active in the Potomac Women's Club and served as President of the club. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She will be remembered for her cheerful good nature and wonderful sense of humor.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at 2 PM at Penfield Presbyterian Church (1881 Jackson Rd., Penfield). Committal will be in the Highland Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, KY next to her husband. Contributions in her memory to a charity of one's choosing may be made if desired.
