My husband and I both worked for Joe at the South Campbell location many years ago. It was a great first job and has brought us many years of great memories and friends. I still have many friends that I keep in touch with from the McDonalds family. Thanks to Joe for bringing the jobs to our town, and for the life experience it offered. Our condolences to the Post family, Carrie our thoughts and prayers go out to your family at this time.

Mr. Post was a very special man. I knew him when he was active at Cox Medical Center and he was always interested not only in the medical center but all of the employees. He will be missed.

In 1988 Joe gave me the opportunity to become a McDonald's Owner/Operator. Over the years we shared many great times in business, the Mens' Bears Games and our work in the community. We both were Eagle Scouts and reflect back on what Scouting had done for us and what we could in turn do for Scouting today.
You will be truly missed my friend, with love, Chip

I worked at Joe's E.Sunshine McDonalds. I remember his Dad coming in to get a burger patty for his dogs. We were to put it between two drink lids. Fun times. I also went to Hickory Hills with Jeff.

Joe is and always will be one of the most significant influences in my life ... an employer, mentor and friend (that felt like family) for decades. Examples of his caring for others with special remembrances and thoughtful gestures number in the thousands and thousands, whether for family, friend or someone he just met -- not to mention the 8,000 families that have been helped at the Ronald McDonald House that he founded in Springfield, MO. He leaves behind a beautiful wife he adored each and every day, a family he loved and friends he treasured. How blessed we all are to have known him and learned so much from his example! With love to Joe and family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

My wife and I moved to Southwest Missouri in 1981. Her father worked for McDonalds in Chicago. In 1983 she was injured in an automobile accident and was hospitalized in Springfield at Cox. On the 2nd day she was hospitalized, I went home for a few hours and when I came back, Mr. Post was sitting in her room, he had brought flowers and made it clear if we needed anything to call him. I never saw Mr . Post again, but I always remembered the kindness he showed to us, who he did not know.
