To the Drumright family, our Sooner family is grieving with you and so sorry for your loss. We will never forget the Springfield boys, (Keith, Kelly, George and Mike) rolling into Norman and allowing us the opportunity to once again roll through the Big 8 and on to Omaha, what great memories. As I visited with Coach Semore and Terry Jolly about Keith, we were so saddened but also thankful that we got to play with such a wonderful teammate and friend. To Keith, the game was always in slow motion. At the plate or in the field, Keith played the game at another level. More importantly was the person he was to all of us.
Rest in peace our great friend and teammate.
To the Drumright's, we share your grief in this time and you are in our prayers.
Bill Severns, Prairie Village, Kansas.

I went to Reed Jr. High and Hillcrest High with Keith. I didn't know him well, but you never heard anyone say a bad thing about Keith. He was an outstanding ball player on a great team.
My prayers are to his family and close friends and may the Lord bid you comfort at this time of sorrow.

As a pitcher who played against Keith in high school and college I remember what a tough out he was. He was one of those guys that when he stepped up to the plate you knew you were in for a fight.
My condolences go out to Keith's family, friends, and teammates. I'm certain Keith is playing second base for the "Angels" now.

I had the distinct privilege of being a teammate of Keith's at OU. Keith was one outstanding 2nd basemen and hitter. As I was a pitcher for OU, Keith got me out of trouble many times with his defensive skills. More importantly though, I will remember Keith as a great person, who took us younger players under his wing and treated all of us with respect. He will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

From babies, we are 6 months apart. From Little League baseball, where it all started, we were teammates. You brought out the BEST of every team member along the way. Look at what you helped accomplish during your career. You were a Leader!!!!! Little League Championships, then on to Hillcrest High School, more Championships. How about college baseball as an Oklahoma Sooner, and the summer college team in Anchorage? It qualified for the national tournament. As an Oklahoma Sooner, you played in the College World Series all 4 years. To Pro Ball where you played for Houston and Oakland. Oh, by the way, should I mention you again, being part of another winning team in Oakland, playing against the Yankees in the playoffs? To being inducted to the Hillcrest Baseball "Hall of Fame" and also selected to the Oklahoma Sooner Baseball "All Century Team", You were a Winner!!!! I am thankful to have had the opportunity of being a teammate on most of your winning teams. But most of all, it was a privilage to call you my cousin.

When my brother call and tolled me about Keith, the first thing that I thought of is when He and a few of us one hot summer night running up Glenstone Ave. jumping into motel swimming pools. When I say us, a few members of the ball team. As a member of the that team we all had a special bond with one another that is never forgotten and felt. Keith was a friend...you just don't get to many real friends...he was our team mate and we, the team, will miss him.

To the Drumright Family:
I played ball against Keith back in the late '60s and early '70s. I can't say he ever knew me, but I remember seeing Keith a lot on the bases, because we could never get him out. He was always good for 2-3 hits per game against us. He had the sweetest swing of anyone I ever played with or against. I remember he was part of some very good Hillcrest teams. If we beat them once in three years, that was it. Hillcrest set the "gold standard" for American Legion Baseball when I played and Keith would have been my vote for MVP of those teams. I was so happy when I saw he made it to the major leagues and to be able to say I played against him.
I am completely shocked he has passed away. I dont really know what else to say, but I am so sorry for your loss.
