I was a classmate of Morgan's in Athens, Ohio. I just learned of his passing, and I added his obituary to our class website. Even though Morgan left Athens and graduated elsewhere, we still consider him a classmate of the Athens High School Class of 1962. Morgan was in my class at Putnam Elementary School, so I knew him from way back. Please accept my deepest, though very late, condolences. When I drive down Lincoln Street in Athens and pass by the apartment building where Morgan used to live, I often think of him. Efforts to find his whereabouts had always failed. Unfortunately, as a result, I totally lost track of him until I found his obituary. RIP, classmate of yore! -- Carl J. Denbow

I first met Morgan in Springfield, Missouri in the late 1950's. We were both in our early teens and lived in the same neighborhood. We had commonality, having both moved to Springfield from different parts of Ohio. My brothers (Bob and Ern), myself and Morgan became the best of friends and spent much time together throughout our teenage years. We had the greatest of times, doing those things that teenagers do. We shared the ups and downs of our youth as one. I have to say that Morgan was a best friend to my brothers and I. We were, mostly, inseparable. It saddens me so to think that Morgan is no longer with us in body. Morgan will always be present when my thoughts go back to those wonderful teenage years when we really had the rest of our lives to look forward to.
I am comforted that Morgan's extreme suffering is over. May he rest in peace.
My sympathy goes out to Morgan's ever faithful wife Jan and to their son Blair and family. I know that husband and father will be missed beyond words. May the good lord comfort you in you loss and sorrow.

My prayers are with all of you in the loss of your loved one. Jan, I understand the void that you will be experiencing after losing your mate of so many years. The Lord will be that constant companion that you will need, and rest assured that He will never leave you. Blair, I lost my father when he was only 68 also, and I know that is much too soon to give one up. I know that none of you would have wanted him to continue suffering, but that will not keep you from missing him dearly. I as well as others will be praying for you during this transition period in your lives. I encourage you to recall all of the good times and talk about him. He has already forgotten his suffering, and he would want you to do the same as soon as you can. May God wrap His loving arms around you in such a way that you constantly feel His presence.
