Ralph Thaemlitz Obituary

Ralph Thaemlitz

Ralph Thaemlitz

Faithful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away on Jan. 3rd 2016.

Preceded in death by parents, Carl & Susan Thaemlitz. Survived by his wife Geraldine, and four children Carl, Terre, John and Sara, sister Doris Peters, nieces, nephews cousins and friends.

Ralph was born in St. Paul MN in 1926. He graduated from Cretin High School, St. Paul MN; St. Mary's College, Winona MN with a degree in Chemistry and Education; and a Masters of Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy NY. He had a very successful teaching career through out the midwest for more than 30 years and then became a chemist for BNSF. In 1981 he transferred with his family to Springfield, MO.

He tinkered with bikes and autos in his youth and passed that gift unto his sons. His love of music made him an active singer in choral groups in MN, the Mid-America Singers in MO, and his church choir. He was an active member in the Civil War Roundtable Wilson's Creek and had an excellent library of civil war literature.

He will be missed by family and friends, but he is at peace.

Visitation: Fri. Jan. 15th @ 6pm at Greenlawn on North National.
