Roy Ulrich Obituary
Mr. Roy D. Ulrich, age 90, Republic, Missouri, passed away June 2, 2017. He was born November 17, 1926, in New Douglas, Illinois, the son of Fred and O'Linda (Rosenthal) Ulrich.
Roy was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during WWII. He was a master gardener, enjoyed fishing, and was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
Roy was united in marriage to Nellie Marge Springhart on August 11, 1951. They helped Pastor Jim Collins to build the Anchor Baptist Church in Republic and were dedicated members for 18 years. The last several years they held membership at Calvary Baptist Church in Republic, serving the church and the Sunday school as long as their health allowed.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. He is survived by his loving wife, Marge; nieces and nephews that lived close and were a big part of his life; Fred Ulrich, Shirley Ernst, Sharon Ulrich, Sandy McCormack, and Dennis Ulrich, a special niece, Marilyn Brinkman; and several other nieces and nephews. He shared his compassionate love for the Lord with his family and will be greatly missed.
There will be a visitation from 10 to 11 A.M. and a funeral service beginning at 11 A.M. on June 7, 2017, in the Meadors Funeral Home, Republic. The burial, with military honors, will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Republic.
