Terry Cooper Obituary

Terry Lee Cooper, 43, Springfield, died Jan. 21, 2007, in Springfield. He was born April 20, 1963, in Peoria, Ill. "Cooper" loved motorcycles, rock and roll music, and would travel far for a concert. He worked with the great people at McCoy Iron and Metal in Springfield. Terry had a zest for life and would back a stranger in a difficult situation and become your lifelong friend. Cooper knew the true meaning of friendship and was loved by all that knew him and his bold enthusiasm for life will be missed. He was preceded in death by his mother Dorthy Darlene Cooper; father Donald Cooper, sister Donna Cooper Thomas; and brother John Owen Haley. He is survived by stepmother Shirly Cooper Danilson; brothers Donald Cooper Jr. and wife Linda, and Stephen Cooper, all of Louisville, Ky., David Cooper, of Springfield, Mo., Mike Cooper and wife Joann, of West Plains, Mo., and Kenny Cooper, of Las Vegas, Nev.; sisters Mary Francis Cooper and Judy Cooper; and a multitude of aunts and uncles. He is also survived by a special love, Misty Morton. Memorial services are 2 p.m. today in Golden Avenue Baptist Church, 558 S. Golden Avenue (corner of Mt. Vernon). Cremation was under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. All his family and friends will miss him and carry on his spirit.
