Carl Hessler Obituary
Obituary
Carl W. "Sport" Hessler 93 of Fort Myers passed away Sunday June 24, 2007. He was born in Mt. Healthy, Ohio and moved to Fort Myers in 1951 and opened Hessler's Inc. a full service floor covering store that is still in business after 56 years.
Carl's real passion was auto racing and he traveled all over the world as a consultant for Champion Spark Plugs. He was inducted into the Old-timers' at the Indianapolis Speedway on May 22, 1962 and was featured on their web page for his 90th birthday. His relaxation was going fishing with his daughters and grandchildren.
The family is indebted to his caregivers of many years Diane Holley, Rafael and Lillian Ramos, Ann Stewart, Colleen Goresh, Roxine Hand, & Helga Murphy, also to Hope Hospice and support staff.
He is survived by his wife Lois, daughters Linda Hessler, Stephanie (Len) Giles, and Mary Strecker, grandchildren, Steve (Stephanie) Wiles, John (Diane) Wiles, Mark (Bonnie) Wiles, Angela (Mike) Clark, Jeff (Amy) Strecker and Shannon (Bo) Weihl, great-grandchildren, Andrew, Taylor, Madeline, Lucas, Jacob, and Weston Wiles, Kenleigh & Peyton Clark, Austin, and Ashlyn Strecker. His beloved Pet Zak.
Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Saturday June 30, 2007 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father Mullen and Father McNamara Officiating. Entombment will be private at Lee Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 PM with a 7:00 PM Vigil Service at Lee Memorial Park Funeral Home 12777 State Road 82.

We were very sad to hear about your loss.Carl was and good Husband ,Father & Grandfather.
Everett & I were out of town for the week and sorry that we could not attend the funeral, but I was glad the our son in law (Rick) could bring my dad (Walter)so he could give his condolences. I know that it is very hard to loose some one you love so very much,it leave a hole in your heart. Carl was a special man and was a good freind for a lot of years to our family,He was and always will be missed by all of us.Dad talk's a lot about all the old times ,work,fishing and all the lunches and dinners they did together . Again we send you our sympathy and we will keep you in our payers.
