Retired Lieutenant Francis ("Frank") O'Neill, (from the Boston Police Department), of Braintree, MA and most recently of North Fort Myers, FL, died on January 15, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Anne (Julian) O'Neill. Devoted father to Patricia (O'Neill) Rothgeb (North Fort Myers, FL) and the late William F. O'Neill. Cherished Grandfather to Ronda Kacey (Rothgeb) and her husband Brian (MA) Nicole Rothgeb (CT), and Michael P. O'Neill (RI). Great-Grandfather to Ryan and Colin Kacey. Brother of, Arlene Stockbridge, William O'Neill , Neal O'Neill as well as the late Peggy Marks, Barbara Caruso, and Buddy O'Neill. He will also be missed by many dear in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. Frank was the third generation of his family to serve the people of Boston as a police officer before retiring to North Fort Myers and his lakefront cottage in Lakeville, MA. During 10 of his winters in Florida he worked security at the City of Palms Park while cheering on his beloved Red Sox. Above all else though, Frank was a dedicated family man and loyal friend. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him. A funeral mass will be held in Massachusetts on February 5, 2016.
