Francis G. O'Neill

Dec. 14- 1927 ~ Jan. 15, 2016

Retired Lieutenant Francis ("Frank") O'Neill, (from the Boston Police Department), of Braintree, MA and most recently of North Fort Myers, FL, died on January 15, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Anne (Julian) O'Neill. Devoted father to Patricia (O'Neill) Rothgeb (North Fort Myers, FL) and the late William F. O'Neill. Cherished Grandfather to Ronda Kacey (Rothgeb) and her husband Brian (MA) Nicole Rothgeb (CT), and Michael P. O'Neill (RI). Great-Grandfather to Ryan and Colin Kacey. Brother of, Arlene Stockbridge, William O'Neill , Neal O'Neill as well as the late Peggy Marks, Barbara Caruso, and Buddy O'Neill. He will also be missed by many dear in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. Frank was the third generation of his family to serve the people of Boston as a police officer before retiring to North Fort Myers and his lakefront cottage in Lakeville, MA. During 10 of his winters in Florida he worked security at the City of Palms Park while cheering on his beloved Red Sox. Above all else though, Frank was a dedicated family man and loyal friend. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him. A funeral mass will be held in Massachusetts on February 5, 2016. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Skip's memory to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.

Skip: Words cant express how much I will miss you along with alot of other people who loved you> You have always been someone i could look up to and respect, You have given me many memories growing up, and , times we had in Lakeville, times i rode with you at work, I'm so glad for those memories....I know I'll see you again some day...Keep patrolling in Heaven and guard everyone we loved....."He ain't heavy he's my brother"

Patty, Ronda, & Nicole,
My condolences to all of you. Uncle Skip loved you all so very much and was so proud of all of you.
I am so glad that my kids and I were lucky enough to see him in November. He was such a funny wonderful uncle to my children and to me!
We will miss him.
I know my mom is happy to see him again in heaven as she loved him dearly.
