To the entire family I just saw this on internet and I'm so very sorry for your loss its been so long since I've seen you last but Jimmy was one of the kindest people and was like an old soul full of compassion and love. One of the most artistic and creative people I met. I remember going places like a 7/11 people would think he was Steve Perry and people would just go crazy but I'm sure all of us experienced this, I just remembered that and chuckled I did not get the pleasure of knowing his children but I'm sure he was a wonderful father and you were very blessed to have been in his life like he was blessed with you. Tina I'm sure there is avoid in your heart but fill them with warm and loving memories they will heal and carry you when times are hard, Jerry I'm so sorry I cannot begin to feel your pain and of all days always remember the times from when he was a baby to the wonderful man and father he became I truly send my condolences for your loss. He truly was talented. I knew him for a short time but all of us had good times. I know he will be missed.

James was such a good friend to me, back in the late 70's and 80's. I had not seen him in many years. His talents were vast. It was amazing watching him work on his statues, paintings and sketches. He could certainly amaze you with his talents on the keyboards, as well! What a sweet person he was. He will be greatly missed!
My thoughts are with you, Elena. My prayers go out, to his entire family.

I am so saddened to hear this news. James was one of the most creative, talented, and sensitive men I ever knew in my youth. I think of him often, and over the years have wanted to catch up and see how he and his family were. And you, too, Elena. He inspired me to go on and do many things with my life, and for that, I am forever thankful. I am now going to educate myself about Wegener's Disease and pray that his suffering somehow will in turn help others through awareness for his illness. My love to you all. Lisa

Dear Jerry, Brenda and family. My thoughts and love are with you in this time of sorrow. What a handsome man. Losing a son is so very very difficult. We still miss our Lewis everyday. He was the middle son and has been gone almost 3 years. You go on with the bravery that your son showed the world. I only wish I had known him. Love Leora

Dear Jerry, We are so saddened by your loss. Children are so very dear to us, as you know we lost our son less then 3 years ago with a heart attack so we feel your pain. Perhaps Jimmy and Eddie will meet in God's heavenly space. It has been a pleasure knowing Jimmy, he was always fun to be around and was a terrific artist. With deepest respect and sympathy.

My friend Elena Dyche was always pouring her heart in for James and the family and recruited me to pray too. This was a long fight for health. I hope all the family will still see and feel Christ's goodness and love. Sorry for your pain.

I only, by accident, read the obituary about James. I read his posts all the time on CJOnline. As stated by others, he was never mean or cruel with any of his posts. Although I never knew James personally, I will truly miss his comments. Rest in peace, Mr. Dyche

Jim was not only my son but my best friend. The suffering he endured the last few years is more than anyone should have to bear. I told him many times that he was the bravest man I ever knew, to go what he did everyday with hardly a complaint. The disease that took his life, Wegeners, destroyed his blood vessels starting with the kidneys and finally his heart. It may have destroyed his body, but never his spirit. I hope he now has the Peace he deserves. He was a kind and loving man. His Dad Jerry

The death of my father James Dyche was due to complications with Wegener's disease, which was diagnosed in 2004. He had been fighting a good fight for several years, he was loved by his entire family and friends. He was a kind, courageous, and creative man, unfortunately due to financial circumstances we are unable to attend his funeral in Topeka Kansas.
We will always love and miss him.
