Obituary

James E. Kremmel Sr., 84, formerly of Harmony Twp, PA died Tuesday March 14, 2006, in Hope Hospice, Fort Myers, FL. Born Dec. 16,1921, in Ambridge, Pa. a son of the late John G. and Agnes Kremmel, he was a retired superintendent of the weld shop and marine building of the former American Bridge Company of Ambridge. He was a member of the Good Samaritan Parish and was a very active member of the former St Veronica Church, where he was very involved with the Strawberry Festival and former Boy Scout Troop 498. He served in the U.S. Army during World War 11.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Edna Mae Pike Kremmel, a son and daughter-in-law, James E. Jr. and Susan Kremmel, Vineland, NJ, three daughters, Mary Beth Kremmel and her companion, Kalton Smith, in California, Jane Hawrosky and her husband George, Davies, FL, and Judith Bunting and her husband, Greg, Anchorage, Alaska, five grandchildren, George Hawrosky and Andrew Hawrosky, both in Florida, Emily Eacret and her husband, Dillon, in Wisconsin, and James E. Kremmel III and Daniel Kremmel, both in New Jersey, a brother, John Kremmel, in Harmony Twp., PA, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Cletus Kremmel and Elmer Bill Kremmel, and a sister, Mary Dreyer.

Friends will be received Thursday March 16,2006 from 5-8 PM in the Bohn-Matich Funeral Home, Inc, 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, PA,15003. Additional viewing will be held Friday from 9 AM until time of prayer service at 10:30 AM, where a mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00am at Good Samaritan Parish, Ambridge, PA, Entombment will follow at Sylvania Hills Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: Hope Hospice, 9470 Health Park Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908. Local arrangements by Harvey-Engelhardt-Metz Funeral Home.
