Kenneth M. "Casey" Craft, III 28, of Bonita Springs died unexpectedly Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in Detroit, MI. A lifelong resident of Southwest Florida, Casey was born March 27, 1986 in Ft. Myers, FL the eldest son of Kenneth M. and Patricia A. (Long) Craft, Jr.

He was a graduate of Estero High School and held his firefighter certificate #1. He was also a member of the Southwest Florida Urban Search and Rescue. Casey was one of the founding family members of the Whispering Pines Clydesdale's in No. Ft. Myers.

He is survived by his mother, Patricia A. Craft of Bonita Springs, FL; his father, Kenneth M. Craft, Jr. of No. Ft. Myers, FL; one sister, Amy E. (Rick) DeStefanis of Bonita Springs, FL and two brothers, Corey D. Craft of Bonita Springs, FL and Chad P. Craft of No. Ft. Myers, FL. He is also survived by his paternal grandparents, Kenneth M. (Barbara) Craft, Sr. of Lowell, IN and Judy K. (Tom) Crowley of Bonita Springs, FL and his maternal grandmother, Ruth I. Long of Allen, MI.

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 18, 2015 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home 28300 Tamiami Tr. So., Bonita Springs. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 PM at the Next Level Church 12400 Plantation Rd., Ft. Myers, FL 33966. Burial will follow at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens.

I met Casey in October on Ft. Myers Beach at the Outrigger Hotel. My niece Tia Godin was friends with him in Detroit through Chivers...She introduced me to him at the hotel while on vacation. The moment i met Casey I knew he could light up a room and thats what he did at the Tikki bar. His smile was beauitful and full of life. We danced, took photo's laughed and had a blast!!!!! I attended his service and I must add how beautiful it was. I know he is in heaven and recieved his wings, because he was an Angel here on Earth and touched so many lives. Casey craft no way man its still unbelievable to me. I just Dnt wanna believe it either. All tho we didn't see much of each other lately u are still like a brother to me. Ur family is like family to me. I hope ur looking down on this because u are sadly missed. I wanna cry writing this really hard not too.
