Margaret (Peggie) A. Richards

RICHARDS, Margaret (Peggie) A., passed away December 28, 2016 at the age of 89 in St Petersburg, FL., where she spent the last years of her life under the care of her daughter, Sheri.

Peggie was preceded in death in 2009 by her husband of 62 years, Joe Richards. Joe was a lifelong resident of Ft. Myers, and Peggie moved to Ft. Myers from her birthplace, Clermont, FL, following their marriage in 1947. Peggie was a devoted wife to Joe and mother to son, Jody Richards of Ft. Myers, and daughter, Sheri Richards of St. Petersburg. Peggie is survived by her two children, three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Peggie was most proud of her support toward her family and community. She assisted her husband at his pharmacy in their later years, supported him in his many community activities and was very active in her children's school activities during their childhoods. She was involved in the Women's Community Club, The 200 Club, The Edison Festival of Light, and was one of the original creators of the Southwest Florida Museum of History.
