Maurice John Murphy, 86, of Fort Myers, FL passed away on March 10, 2011. Born in Detroit, MI, a son of the late Maurice and Nora Murphy. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and received a Purple Heart. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Beverly Murphy; his children, Kellie Jacoby, Martin Murphy, Maureen Montgomery, Mary Thero and Kathy Smith; step-children, Larry Cann and Pamela Dobson; 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Family Service will be held Monday, March 14, 2011 at 4:00 PM in Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 3-4 PM prior to services.
