Richard Gable Obituary

1934-2015
Son of the late Richard M. and Bertha H Gable of Cleveland, OH, Dick was born in Cleveland and graduate of Lutheran H.S. & Ohio Northern University, earning his degree in Pharmacy. Dick is a Veteran of the US Army and served as a pharmacist stationed in Panama. He was a 2nd generation pharmacist and co-owner of Gable Pharmacy and served as Pres. of the Cleveland Academy of Pharmacy. Dick was the founder and owner of Gable Healthcare and partner of Gable Elevator. Dick was a No Ft Myers resident since 1999 & an active member of his Lake Fairways Community. Dick volunteered for "Wake up America" delivering food to the hungry, Volunteered for FISH, coordinating healthcare equipment to the injured. Dick was a member & Pres. of the Lake Fairways shuffleboard team and member of the HOA.
Dick is survived by his wife of 59 years Carol Gable, sons Rick & (Julie) Gable of Aurora, OH & and Scott & (Aliki) Gable of Sarasota, FL. brother of David Gable and Kathy Isaac. Dick was the proud grandfather of 7 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren.
Celebration of Life service at the lake Fairways Clubhouse Wednesday Nov 18, 11:30am-2pm.
