Theodore Cocca Obituary


Obituary

Theodore "Ted" R. Cocca, 79, a resident of Cape Coral for the past 12 years and formerly of Wolcott, CT, died November 29, 2000. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Navy. Ted also retired as Lt. from the Wolcott Police Dept after serving 20 years to the community.

He was a member of C.C.R.C. for the past ten years, St. Andrews Catholic Church, VFW Post 1947 in CT and Vice President of the Condo 47 Association.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Lorraine; two sons, Joseph F. Cocca of Cape Coral, Robert A. Cocca of CT, daughter, Paula J. Cocca of Cape Coral; four grandchildren, Marcel, Michel, Robert Jr. and Amanda Cocca; sister, Eleanor Mori of Englewood; several nieces and nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday, Dec. 4, 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of St. Andrews Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Ted to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

He was the investigating officer of my accident in Wolcott, Ct. and because of this, I met his son Joseph. We went to school together after that, and are long time friends.
