Obituary

Wilfred E. Leighty of Cape Coral passed away on January 10, 2008 he was 89. Wilfred was born on May 17, 1918 to George and Ruth Leighty, in Wooster, OH. Wilfred was a veteran of the United States Army who served his country in Germany during WWII, he was a former business owner in Wooster, OH and for over fifty years he was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Wooster.

Wilfred is pre-deceased by his parents, George and Ruth Leighty, a daughter Carolyn Leighty Lawhorn and a grandson Christopher. He is survived by his wife of 28 years Mary Ruth Leighty, a son Donald Leighty, a step-son Ronald Gilmore and Wilfred leaves four grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 1:00 PM from the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, entombment to follow, visitation will be from 12:30 until the time of the service.
