I met Eleanor when she moved to AZ and came into the library. I enjoyed getting to know her through the books I'd help her pick out but she also expressed an interest in volunteering, so she became my craft volunteer: assisting myself & other staff when we put on craft events for our patrons. She quickly became a library & patron favorite! Always smiling & offering a cheerful welcome, learning the craft for the day, in advance, so she could help the other patrons who might not be catching on to the instructions & always offering to help set-up & tear down the event. She & I enjoyed talking about Colorado Springs as my husband & I were stationed at the USAF Academy & loved the area. Although we at the Sun City West library only had the pleasure of knowing her for a short time, we so enjoyed our visits and will greatly miss her sunshine spirit & smiles!

Eleanor was a dear friend and fellow member of Assistance League. I talked her into keeping her membership when she moved to Phoenix, so she could continue to serve on the Finance Committee. She had an incredible brain! I will miss her!

In my eyes, Eleanor was the epitome of a P.E.O. member. I am grateful that the final years of her 70 as a member of a P.E.O. member were spent being a Chapter EO sister alongside of me. She was a role model for us all as she demonstrated a willingness to serve and lead, as well as sincere loving concern for others. I am so glad to have known her and shared her good company.

I am so blessed to have known Eleanor during her time in AZ. She was an immediate friend when she joined our PEO chapter. She lit up the room with her presence. Loved her sports, always had time to visit and share stories. What a special friend who left such an impact in this world. Miss you sweetheart.

Eleanor was an inspiration for all the members of B-COS We Care. She continued to share wisdom, provide guidance, and participate in conference calls up to a few weeks before her passing. Such a gentle, kind soul. She will be missed. Our sincere thanks to her daughter, Linda, for providing support and staying in contact.
