HARVEY LEE KAUTZ Harvey Lee Kautz, Seminole, Okla., resident, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025, in Shawnee, Okla., at the age of 72. Harvey was born October 29, 1952, in Stillwater, Okla., to LeRoy and Ruth Mildred (Johnson) Kautz. He was a 1970 Choctaw High School graduate. He attended Rose State College. Harvey proudly served in the United States Air Force and was an Air Force Reserve Staff Sergent, serving for eight years. He was a corporate pilot in commercial aviation. Harvey married Vicki Westmoreland on August 31, 1973, in Nicoma Park, Okla. Harvey enjoyed model airplanes, helicopters and motorcycles. He was a pilot since 1974 and flew charter commercial, corporate and helicopter since 1987. He loved flying, riding motorcycles and detailing and tinkering on his cars. Harvey is survived by his wife of 51 years, Vicki Kautz of Seminole; daughter, Valerie Kautz and Sam Hobson of Seminole, and many other family and friends. Harvey was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Kautz; mother, Ruth Kautz and his brothers, James (Jim) Kautz and Dale Kautz. Viewing was Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with Pastor Clint Dawkins officiating. Interment was at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater. Services were under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
