KENNETH BOYD Obituary

KENNETH BOYD 11/13/1940 - 08/27/2025 Kenneth Wayne Boyd, 84, of Shawnee, Okla., passed away peacefully at home on August 27, 2025. He was born November 13, 1940, in Taft, Calif., to Garner Fraser Boyd and Alice "Loree" (McMillan) Boyd and was the oldest of five siblings. He married Elizabeth "Jane" (Parrish) Rippetoe in January 1971. Ken is survived by his son, Sheb Boyd and partner Jenea of Shawnee; stepsons Woody Rippetoe of Holdenville and Jesse Rippetoe and wife Roberta of McAlester; stepdaughters Carmen Kennedy and husband Kenny of Oakview, Calif., and Mikki Fletchall of Weatherford; grandchildren Hunter Boyd, Kaitlynne Heilaman, Crystal Fischer, Charlie Rippetoe and wife Brandi, JC Rippetoe, Tressa Kennedy, Beau Burton and wife Kelsey, Kara Davis, Laura Vogt and husband Tyler, and Leah Maples and husband Wes; brothers Dennis Boyd and wife Lin, and Jimmie Boyd; niece Sue Crager; as well as many great-grandchildren, friends, and his beloved dog, Finley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane; his parents, Garner and Loree Boyd; brother Gerald Boyd, granddaughter Brandi Elaine Rippetoe; and grandson Michael Kennedy. Kenneth will be remembered for his hard work, love of family, and the joy he found in life's simple pleasures. His legacy continues in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
