MARY MARGARET MIZE

MARY MARGARET SCHOCK MIZE Local resident Mary Margaret Schock Mize passed away June 28, 2024 at a local hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born June 23, 1946 in Miller, South Dakota to Ernest and Mary Louis (Henderson) Schock. At a young age she and her family moved to Shawnee where she attended elementary and secondary schools, and graduated from Shawnee High School with the Class of 1964. Mary spent most of her adult life living in Oklahoma City and working in retail. Prior to her death, she had been a resident of Golden Rule Nursing Home in Shawnee. Mary is survived by her sister, Anna Schock Looper, Shawnee; her niece, Jennifer Looper McCammon (Darin); great nephews, Michael McCammon, Dylan McCammon; great niece Lucy McCammon, McLoud, Ok; cousins Carolyn Richmond, Edmond, Ok, Pam Byers (Bob), Edmond, Ok and Lanny Henderson (Linda), Oklahoma City. A special thank you to the staff at Golden Rule Home for their dedicated support and to Sharon McLin for her loving care that helped make this transition her home. A graveside service will be held at a later date under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home, Shawnee.
