Clayton Ellis Bowen, 79, of Loudon, went home to be with the Lord and his wife Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023.
Clayton was an avid fisherman and woodworker. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired from A.E. Staley, where he was a quality control lab tech.
Clayton was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon E. Bowen; parents, Clyde and Velma Bowen; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Geneva Mullins.
He is survived by children, Chris Bowen (April), Jerramie Bowen (Julie) and Stephanie Smelcer (John); grandchildren, Chase, Austin, Zane, Caleb, Hannah, Blaine, Lindsey and Bryson; great-grandchildren, River and Malachi; sisters, Elizabeth (Tom) and Lotis (Bill); brother-in-law, Terry Light (Kathy); and sister-in-law, Debbie Mullins.
Services were held Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023.
Loudon Funeral Home and Cremations was in charge of arrangements.
